In our second post of the day about fallen legend Sean Price, here’s another release from upcoming mixtape Songs In The Key of Price. This one features Illa Ghee and Royal Flush, and is another banger. Listen below.
Sean Price – ‘Planet Apes’
Before his sad death last weekend, Sean Price and Duck Down Records were busy prepping the release of new mixtape, Songs In The Key of Price. The record will still drop next week, albeit now with a deeper meaning and impact. Listen to Planet Apes from the project below, with a nice beat from PF Cuttin’.
Schama Noel – ‘Real Hip-hop’
This new track from Schama Noel is simple but effective. Dope beat, dope rhymes. We don’t know much about the Florida-based artist who also goes by the name The Rapper Emulator, but we look forward to hearing more soon. Listen below.
Dom Pachino – ‘Warheadz’
Wu-Tang Clan affiliates Dom Pachino (Killarmy) and Bronze Nazareth connect on this joint from Pachino’s new album, War Poetry. It gets a little boring, and it’s kind of ridiculous that those Killarmy boys are still so obsessed with war and military imagery, but this joint is nevertheless worth a listen.
Verbal Kent – ‘Notes’
Ugly Hero man Verbal Kent is gearing up for the release of new album Anesthesia with this video for Notes. It’s a well done flick with a good story, and the music is dope too. Watch below, and keep your eyes peeled for the album on September 11.
Mac Miller – ‘Pet Sounds’ feat. Sean Price
Mac Miller has posted this unreleased track recorded with Sean Price, who we all know tragically died last weekend. It has a banging beat from Nottz, and sounds nice. Listen below.
Guilty Simpson – ‘Fractured’
After two drops with not much detail, we now know that the new album from Guilty Simpson will be named Detroit’s Son. It’s set to be released September 11, and you can hear the latest single Fractured below.
Abstract Rude – ‘Kan of Whoop Ass (Reprise)’
Project Blowed stalwart Abstract Rude has gathered one hell of a line-up of guest emcees on new posse cut Kan of Whoop Ass (Reprise), including Blueprint, Open Mike Eagle and LMNO. It’s taken from his recent Keep The Feel album, and you can watch the animated lyric video below.
3rd Eye Contact – ‘Piece Be Still’
3rd Eye Contact is a group made up of Cas Metah, Mellow Drum Addict, Defizit and EF Cuttin. Their self-titled EP is set to drop soon, and judging by this first single, its going to be dope. Listen below, and pre-order the project here.
Tokyo Cigar – ‘Constant’
We don’t know a whole lot about the wonderfully-named Tokyo Cigar, but this latest single by the producer/rapper from the M in DMV is mad nice. It also features Substantial, and you can watch below.
