DJ Premier goes sightseeing in Moscow
DJ Premier recently took time out from the PRhyme tour to go exploring Moscow, but what we like most about the video is how humble Primo still is that hip-hop has enabled him to even go to a place like Russia. Its also good to hear him talk about Gang Starr family like Jeru The Damaja and Group Home, once again suggesting that bridges have been rebuilt. We are itching for more on the hinted Primo/Jeru reunion, so hopefully that finally happens soon.
Onyx – ‘Strike Bac’
Following on from recent single Against All Authorities, Onyx return with Strike Bac, and its another highly-charged track. Its from the soon-to-be-released Against All Authorities EP, and you can check it out below.
Twin & Alchemist – ‘Live Life’
Alchemist and Twin, from Mobb Deep affiliates Infamous Mobb, have been working together for years, but new track Live Life is the first we’ve had from them in a while. Its off new album Thrive 2 out now, with a line-up that includes beats from Sid Roams, Statik Selektah and Marco Polo, and vocals from Oh No, Planet Asia and more. Listen below.
Satchel Page – ‘Sweet 16s’ feat. Sadat X, Large Professor and Neek The Exotic
Satchel Page has a new mixtape named Disco Sucks, and this absolute gem has surfaced to promote it. The line-up on Sweet 16s includes Sadat X, Large Professor and Neek The Exotic. Shit is absolutely crazy, and you can check it out below. Download the full tape for free here.
Bishop Nehru – ‘Harmony in a Glass’/’Breath’
The kid Bishop Nehru still has a bit to learn (like about how not to take up two minutes of every song simply repeating his hook over and over), but he’s been steady growing in style, and earned props for dropping a project last year with MF Doom. He also knows how to pick nice beats, and you can listen to two new tracks from him below, taken from the upcoming Nehruvia: The Nehruvian EP.
