Kool Keith, Inspectah Deck & Headkrack – ‘Black Men (Unarmed)’

BLACK MENKool Keith has many different faces, most of them insanely brilliant. He has a political side too, as shown on new track Black Men (Unarmed). He’s joined by Wu-Tang Clan hero Inspectah Deck, and Bronx rapper Headkrack, and you can take a listen below. Scroll even further down for notes on the track from Keith.
Statement from Kool Keith on why he made Black Men (Unarmed):
We just used the pen to express our feelings about the police brutality against Blacks that go way before there was color TVs. You would think cops would chill now that cameras are everywhere, but it’s like they’re auditioning for ‘NYPD Blue’ or ‘New York Undercover.’ They don’t give a fuck. Shit gotta stop.

Tish Hyman – ‘Subway Art’

FullSizeRender(3)Soulful rapper Tish Hyman is new to us, but should be destined for big things if new video Subway Art is a sign of more good things to come. Its a beautifully shot visual, featuring everyday people riding the New York subway, and you can watch it below. Keep them eyes peeled for Tish’s Dedicated To album coming later in the year.

Sheisty Khrist & Lofidel – ‘Havana Nights’ feat. Natti

COLD WINTERSheisty Khrist and Lofidel have dropped a video for Havana Nights, from their Cold Winter album. Its a nicely-shot film, and features guest vocals from CunninLynguists rapper Natti. Watch below, and let us know what you think.

Lexington’s Sheisty Khrist and Lofidel revisit their Cold Winter LP with a video for the standout track “Havana Nights” with Natti of CunninLynguists.

“There are beats; there are rhymes; there are songs; and then there are organisms. Havana Nights is an organism. There is nothing contrived about it. It clings to you like sweat. No matter how many times you try to wipe it away you can’t rid yourself of it. Not everyone can survive the heat.”

If you haven’t picked up Cold Winter yet, you’re seriously missing out. Sheisty is one of the most-underrated talents in the game.

ED-APE – ‘Yes Sir’

ED-APEYes Sir from ED-APE is one of the most fucked-up videos we’ve seen in a long time. The lyrics are comedy genius, and we think Kanye, Diddy or Hov definitely should give this man a million bucks. Watch the madness unfold below, and click here for more about his Your Face Here album.
