While we continue to wait patiently for the Kickstarter funded and the Anonymous Nobody… album from De La Soul, we’ve been gifted this four-track EP, said to include some music from the full album, plus other tracks than didn’t make the cut.
Muja Messiah – ‘Silk Road’ feat. Maseo
Maseo from De La Soul makes an appearance on this new track from Muja Messiah, addressing a range of issues, including the Bill Cosby situation, and the controversial drug website in the title. It’s from upcoming album Angel Blood Soup, and you can listen below.
The Chosen Few – ‘Time Capsule: The 1991 Demos’
Chopped Herring Records are at it again, unearthing more lost music, this time from Long Island crew The Chosen Few. The EP features De La Soul, and is well worth a listen. Check the sampler below, and keep them eyes peeled for more lost material from this impressive boutique label.

Original A Tribe Called Quest member Jarobi White and Black Sheep rapper Dres are keeping the spirit of the Native Tongues alive with a video for Ain’t No Day The Sun Don’t Shine, from a few months back. It also features Yaw, and you can watch below.
Slum Village – ‘Yes!’ album stream
After a string of singles, we now get to hear the entire new Slum Village album early, a week before it drops. We knew it had J Dilla beats, but not this many. Not that we are complaining about that.
