We finally got our grimy little hands on the brilliant Czarface Every Hero Needs A Villain CD boxset this week, and it looks as good as it sounds. The album is officially now out, and the supreme team of 7L & Esoteric and Inspectah Deck are keeping the momentum going with a video for The Great (Czar Guitar), which you can watch below.

Apathy – ‘New England Royalty’

Demigodz legend Apathy is one hard-working bastard, with no less than three projects slated for release this year. New England Royalty is taken from one of those new joints – an EP named Weekend At The Cape, out later this month. Listen below and let us know what you think.

Skyzoo – ‘Hands Folded Together’ feat. Elzhi

The new drops from Skyzoo and his upcoming Music For My Friends album continue with Hands Folded Together. This one features Elzhi on guest vocals, and it sounds pretty nice. Listen below, and look out for that album coming in the next few days.

Edo.G – ‘Afterwards’ album sampler

Boston legend Edo.G is gearing up for the release of new album Afterwards, which is a collaboration with production team Street Wyze, with this short but dope sampler. Take a listen below, and look out for the full version when it drops.

Shabaam Sahdeeq – ‘GMR’

Indie stalwart Shabaam Sahdeeq is back with this new joint, boasting cuts from DJ Eclipse and a beat from J57. With this much talent on offer, its a certified banger, and you can check it out below. If you are quick, you might also be able to cop a limited edition t-shirt featuring the artwork, designed and hand painted by Sahdeeq himself.

Byron The Aquarius – ‘J D I L L A WHAT UP DOE VOL.1’

You can never have too many J Dilla tributes, and this one from producer Byron The Aquarius is a particularly good specimen. Its 13 tracks of solid beats inspired by the much-missed Yancey boy, and you can stream and buy it below.

The Addicts – ‘Embedded’

The Addicts is a group out of Florida new on our radar, but with classic boom bap joints for days. Already being championed by DJ Premier and others, we look forward to hearing more from crew members Menace and Bliz when their This Is For Us album drops in August. In the meantime, watch the video for Embedded below.

Magestik – ‘Just Enough For The City’

This latest offering from the dope Legend Has It album by The Black Opera rapper Magestik features a beat from 14KT. Listen below, then go get that album if you haven’t yet.

Mr Green – ‘Step Into The Booth’

The latest video from Mr Green and his amazing Live From The Street project sees the team head south of the border, down Mexico way. There they find a talented ‘big guitar’ player, who provides a nice lick for album track Step Into The Booth, with vocals from Toronto rapper Raz Fresco.

Dayne Jordan – ‘In Progress’

DJ Jazzy Jeff has graced Dayne Jordan with another dope beat for In Progress, where the talented rapper gives us a (very) detailed history of his career progression so far. Its from his Memoirs of Dayne Jordan album coming soon, and you can listen below.
