We won’t make out we know much about Vik, because we don’t. This is pretty dope though, taken from his recent Disposables album.
Month: April 2016
Onyx – ‘The Tunnel’ (remix)
There’s a remix project coming from Onyx and Snowgoons, tweaking tracks from the #WakeDaFucUp album, including this one, featuring Sadat X, Nature, Steele and Ali Vegas.
The Gatekeeper (Frukwan) – ‘Brain Soap’
The wheels came of the legacy of super group the Gravediggaz a long time ago, but member Frukwan is keeping the name going with new music under the crew name, and his character, The Gatekeeper. This might be one of the wackest low budget videos you’ll ever seen, but Frukwan has also been a solid emcee, since way back in those Stetsasonic days.
CL Smooth – ‘King’
Pete Rock has recently been posting up photos of he and CL Smooth in the studio, hinting at new music coming from one of the finest duos in the history of this thing called rap. In the meantime, CL is back with this solo joint. It’s hardly vintage stuff, but good to see him working.
Larry Fisherman – ‘!Go Fish!’ feat. Conway
Man of the moment Conway collaborates on this new track with Larry Fisherman, aka the alter ego of Mac Miller.
Stereo Boyz – ‘Taxi’
We don’t know a whole lot about Detroit crew Stereo Boyz but this new joint is real nice, along with bonus cuts On My Way and All I Got.
Tab One and Sinopsis – ‘Sincerely, Tab’
Kooley High members Tab One and Sinopsis drop their Sincerely, Tab project, and its pretty dope. Stream below.
Broken Home – ‘Home Run Derby’
Broken Home is made of the stellar talents of Spit Gemz, Aye Wun and Eff Yoo, all of who impress on this new joint, Home Run Derby.
Supreme Cerebral – ‘Prophetic Jewels’ feat. Planet Asia (video)
There’s now a video for the Planet Asia featuring Prophetic Jewels from Supreme Cerebral and their Soul Trained album.
The Bridge is Not Over
All rap beef is largely pathetic, essentially boiling down to a couple of grown men acting like children in the school yard. It does sometime lead to good music though, and the Bridge Wars still remain as one of the most exciting periods in the history of hip-hop. Now, many, many years later, MC Shan has pointlessly re-igniting his fued with KRS-ONE. They have been taking shots at each other this past week, like a couple of old wrestlers embarrassingly past their use by date.
